Virtual Private Lessons are now available with our fabulous J9’s K9s trainers on Zoom! All you need is a phone, tablet or laptop/desktop computer with a webcam. All obedience skills and behavioral issues can be addressed, just like in our in-person sessions. As with all of our services, Virtual Private Lessons include unlimited support from your trainer for the life of your dog!

Virtual learning is especially effective for dogs who are fearful or reactive to unfamiliar people, and it’s typically much easier to teach your dog new skills in a distraction-free environment.

Virtual Private Lessons are easy! Here’s how it works:

  • Call us at 818-832-9906 to schedule your training session, or click here to tell us about your dog and training needs.

  • After you’ve scheduled your training session, your J9’s K9s trainer will send you an email with complete instructions. You don’t need to have a Zoom account to access your session – use any phone, tablet or laptop/desktop (with a webcam) that’s connected to the internet. You can download the app or simply join from your web browser. Not tech savvy or not familiar with Zoom? No worries! We’ll be happy to help you in a FREE, short practice session to get you familiar with the process before your appointment.

  • Before your session starts, set up your phone, tablet or your laptop/desktop computer. Choose a well-lit, quiet location where you have a good internet connection, and avoid backlighting (such as standing in front of a bright window). Make sure to set up your device so that your trainer will be able to see both you and your dog – if you’re using a phone or a tablet you’ll want to prop it up or use a tripod so you can be hands-free.

  • That’s it! Your J9’s K9s trainer will spend the first several minutes of your session helping you get situated to make sure everyone is comfortable, and then the learning begins. No stress, no fuss, just fun and effective learning for you and your best friend!

  • After your session, your J9’s K9s trainer will send you an email with resources and handouts about the things you covered together and if you requested that your session be recorded, a link so you can watch it for the next 6 months. Plus you’ll enjoy the unlimited client support that J9’s K9s is famous for, and you can purchase more sessions at a discounted rate!
