Next clinic is on Saturday, July 19th!

Does your dog growl, bark or lunge at other dogs, people, or sometimes apparently random things? Do you wish you could walk them, but their reactive behavior is embarrassing or even a little scary? Can’t commit to a full six-week class? No problem! Our extremely popular Reactive Rover Classes are now being offered in two-part clinics for busy pet parents. And by popular demand, they’re available on weekends!

  • Prerequisite: These two-part, 90 minute clinics are kept really small so we can set you and your dog up for success. Only four dogs are allowed in each session, which means “working spots” are very limited. Dogs must be pre-approved by a J9’s K9s instructor in order to enroll in Part 1, which is a prerequisite for Part 2. Please call us at 818-832-9906 before enrolling if you haven’t already received approval.

  • Part 1 – Safety, Defensive Handling & Training Foundations: While you learn important handling and observational skills, your dog will be learning new behaviors and fun games to help them remain calm in the presence of their “triggers.” We’ll use visual barriers and other classroom management to help your best friend focus on you while training.

  • Part 2 – Advanced Behavior Modification: The visual barriers go away and you’ll learn how to respond to your dog’s challenges in the real world!

  • Save by bundling your purchase of both Parts 1 &2! We offer a discount for students when they purchase consecutive clinic sessions at the same time – check the class details for more information.

We’ve helped countless dog lovers turn stressful walks into enjoyable adventures. Think of reactivity like a communication problem – your dog isn’t being bad, they’re just feeling overwhelmed. Our training helps both of you build confidence and understanding, one positive step at a time. AND you’ll leave these clinics with a blueprint for training techniques that you can use for changing lots of other unwanted behaviors in your everyday lives together!

If your dog isn’t ready to attend in person (or if the clinic you wanted to enroll in is full), auditor spots are available so you can come and learn without your dog present. Just by watching, you’ll leave these clinics with tons of information and valuable problem solving skills.
