Registration deadline is midnight on 11/27/2012...

alt Prerequisite: Dogs must have completed (or be currently enrolled in) an Intermediate Class at J9's K9s, or be pre-approved to attend on Sunday (humans only attend on Saturday). You must attend on Saturday to bring your dog on Sunday. May not be appropriate for dogs who are reactive or aggressive to humans or other dogs. Call us at 818-832-9906 if you need pre-approval or you are unsure as to your dog's enrollment eligibility.

"Clicker Training" is one of the most effective ways to train your dog! This method exercises your dog's brain (a great way to tire him out), and encourages him to figure out what you want from him all on his own.

Ever wondered what the trick is behind the "click"? Join us for a two-day seminar covering all you've ever wanted to know about using a clicker to mark, capture and shape behaviors with your dog.

Day one is all about you, the human part of the equation. Through a three - hour series of lectures and interactive activities, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of how clickers can make a huge impact on the success of your training sessions. We'll also be working to help you improve your coordination and timing, to make sure you can deliver the perfect click!

On day two, you'll bring in your dogs and spend two fun-filled hours applying what you've learned the previous day! A variety of training exercises and games will allow you to further develop your skill set through practical application with your pup.

There will be regular Q & A sessions and breaks with light refreshments available on both days. Tuition for participants includes clicker, training journal and educational handouts. Auditing option for day two (without bringing your dog) is also available at a discounted rate (see below).

alt Coming again in 2013!
